What the People module does

The HR half of WizzHire: employee records, time off, work time, shifts and onboarding, for the people you have already hired.

For HR admins & company owners

Two modules, one workspace

WizzHire is sold as modules. Hiring covers everything up to the offer: jobs, applications, screening, interviews. People covers everything after it: the record of somebody who now works here, the days they take off, the hours they work, and the checklist that gets them started.

You switch between them at the top of the sidebar. Both share one workspace, one team and one bill. What changes is which pages you see.

Team member or employee? They are not the same thing. Somebody with a login is on your team. Somebody with an employment record is an employee. Most people are both, and the two are connected rather than merged, so a record can exist for somebody who never logs in.

What is inside People

Seven areas, in the order most companies reach for them

  • Employees: one record per person: job, contract, department, manager, contact details. The directory doubles as your org chart.
  • Time off: the kinds of leave you offer, what each is worth, who approves a request, and a calendar of who is away.
  • Work time: the monthly record of hours worked, day by day, with your region's rules behind the counting.
  • Shifts: the spans people actually work, planned across a month for a whole team.
  • Onboarding: a checklist template per role, run for each new joiner and anchored to their own start date.
  • Reports: roster, starters and leavers, leave taken, balances and upcoming dates, on screen or as a CSV.
  • Activity log: who changed what in HR, newest first.

Everybody sees a different amount

Everyone with a login holds one access level. Three come built in, and you can build your own.

  • Employee: their own record and their own leave. Nobody else's.
  • Line manager: the same, plus the leave of everyone below them in the reporting line, including deciding on it.
  • HR admin: every record, every request, and every setting on the HR pages.

Line-manager access is not configured by hand. It follows the manager set on each employee record, so the reporting line is what decides who a manager can see.

Where to start

Five things have to exist before anybody can ask for a day off, and they depend on each other in this order: public holidays, kinds of leave, allowances, people, approvals. HR settings walks you through them and keeps a count of what is left.

What People does not do

There is no payroll and no statutory calculation anywhere in it. WizzHire records what your company configures: your holidays, your allowances, your approval rule, your work-time rules. It does not decide what the law where you operate requires, and it does not compute pay.
